Preparing your paper
Structure
Your paper should be compiled in the following order: title page; abstract; keywords; main text introduction, discussion, conclusion and bibliography.
Word Limits
A typical paper for MJSS journal should be between 8,000 and 10,000 words.
Formatting
Papers may be submitted in Word format.
Georgia or Cambria 12 point font is preferred.
Apply 1,5 lines spacing.
For quoting or using foreign words, use the Italic style only
Figures should be saved separately from the text.
Graphical appendices need to be in black and white, saved in original format, with their size and complexity adjusted to the format of the Journal so that all elements are clear and visible.
References
Montenegrin Journal for Social Sciences uses endnote style for notes/references at the end of articles.
All citations should be provided as endnotes, numbered consecutively 1, 2, 3, and placed at end of main article.

Bibliography
A bibliography is a listing of the books, , and Internet sources that you use to prepare a scientific article. Your bibliography should include a minimum of three written sources of information about your topic from books, encyclopedias, and periodicals. You may have additional information from the Web if appropriate. The sources in the bibliography must be arranged in alphabetical order.
Each bibliographic unit must include:
- author name
- title of the publication (title of the Journal article, Archival Documents, Newspaper article)
- the volume number (in case of scientific article)
- the place of publication
- the publishing company
- date of publication
- the page number(s)
Submission Preparation Checklist
- Title
Good writing titles should be concise, accurate, and informative, and it should tell the reader exactly what the article is about. A good title for research paper should: incorporate the keywords, so that the article is more likely to be included in the results for relevant online searches.
- Author details.
All authors of a manuscript should include their full name and affiliation on the cover page of the manuscript. Where available, please also include ORCiDs and social media handles (Facebook, Twitter or LinkedIn). One author will need to be identified as the corresponding author, with their email address normally displayed in the article PDF.
- Abstract
Abstract text should be between 150 and 200 words. Here are some ideas on what to focus on, to achieve the purpose of an abstract in research paper: What your research is about; What methods have been used; What you found out. The abstract should be written in English and in the Montenegrin language.
- Keywords
Between 3 and 6 keywords. A strong correlation exists between online hits and subsequent citations for journal articles, therefore it is important to have effective keywords. The keywords should be written in English and in the Montenegrin language.
- Biographical note
Please supply a short biographical note for each author. This could be adapted from your departmental website or academic networking profile and should be relatively brief (e.g. no more than 200 words).
- Article structure
The body of the article must contain the following sections: Main text introduction; Discussion; Conclusion.
- Bibliography
At the end of the article, there is a bibliography list in alphabetical order.
